Latex Modified Concrete Products
Long Term Closures: Generally One Week or More and New Construction
- Type 1 Cement Mix – 4 day overlay cure – 2 days wet / 2 days dry 3500 psi
Short Duration Closures: Less than One Week
- Type III Cement Mix 2 day overlay cure – 1 wet / 1 dry 3000 psi
Overnight/Weekend Closures (Combine: Weekend and Overnight Closures)
- VES-LMC Mix 3 hrs wet = 3,000 PSI
Rapid Set Latex Modified Concrete is used when the construction duration of a project must be kept to the absolute minimum. Traffic is allowed on the newly-placed overlay in three hours. Work can be performed in non-peak overnight hours or weekend closures.
Overnight Closures
VES-LMC Mix 3 hrs or more based on temperatures for wet cure = 3,000 PSI
Very Early Strength (VES) Modified Concrete is used when the construction duration of a project must be kept to the absolute minimum. Traffic is allowed on the newly placed overlay in just 3 hrs. Work can be performed in a single weekend or during overnight “non-peak” hours. VES-LMC Concrete is used for short-term closures of Full Depth Bridge Joints, Airport Runways, Parking Structures, Dams, and Bridges.
